Flash Back Friday!

Here is a little bit of local racing history. This was uncle Darrell getting ready for a trophy dash race in 1974 at Port Angeles Speedway in Washington State. Man these cars looked heavy, one big hunk of steal. Some of the best memories have come while sitting in the stands on the weekends watching the number 12 race around the track, bumping, pushing and sometimes spinning out of control. Who can forget the smell of the rubber burning off the tires, that is one of best smells to a young kid dreaming to race someday, LOl!

On Tuesday my uncle Ross Arnold died in southern California. He was full of vigor and fight. I really enjoyed his war stories, Life stories and how he had done it all. I guess if you have lived as long as he did you just might have. I had come to know him better while he stayed at my parents home for a while. I know that God's got his hands full now, LOL! We will miss you Uncle!

We spent the weekend at Lake Sylvia. Had a great time with family and friends. The Beagles were having a super time. The fish were kind of small, but it was just a relaxing two days.

Mothers Day!

Well this mothers day was another day filled with good memories for mom and aunt Patti. I know that she is having a ball in heaven with all of the family! I hope that we can continue this tradition on mothers day, we had one of moms favorite dinners and talk about her and the things the taught us. We fixed fish, prawns and Fry's. I hope that she putting in a good word for us in heaven, LOL! We miss the both of you!

Tell her that I Love her and that I miss her & when she turns to smile~place a kiss upon her cheek & hold her for awhile~Because remembering her is easy~I do it everyday~There's an ache within my heart that will never go away. Happy Mother's Day!

Flashback Friday!

This was Sparky, he was a gift from my uncle Jack for my birthday. This little dog loved to sit up like this for hours looking out the front door. He also sat up like this while ridding in my parents yellow 1974 Beetle.

He also loved the time we spent a Lake Tapps in the summer. Here he is catching some shade on the dock or he is looking at the neighbors sexy bulldogs, LOL!

This the face that was looking at me while I was eating this week, while I was at the Oregon coast! She just stares at me with those big brown eyes!

Finally she get to do the dishes, it saves me the hot water, LOL! Just kidding, I still had to put the dishes away! It wouldn't be camping without having the dogs lick the bowls and forks/spoons! I know some of you might gag, but get over it!

FaceBook and Blogging

I was on Face book today and was reading what my face book friends and family had posted. Most of them are a great read or just a quick comment. I ran across a comment on a post that I just love, it was posted by a friend of my aunt and uncle's. It read...............................
Take your passion that you have and pick out something extremely positive to post. Find someone or something so positive and amazing that you can give a shout out to greatness. If you are going to tell me that there isn't much positive in this world to comment on, then I will be disappointed. You have God in your heart. He would want you to use your charisma and passion to point out all the good and amazing things in this world. Come on brother! Use your platform in a good way! Go see the movie Blindside...go read the Left Behind series....find someone who is making a difference, then make one yourself!

Set you dishwasher on sanitize!

I was loading the dishwasher and I looked over to see Lucy licking the plates off. I asked myself "Self why did I spend close to $1000.00 for a new dishwasher when the dogs could have done the job, LOL? Folks that's why I use the "Sanitize" setting on my dishwasher! It doesn't matter how many times I chase them out of the kitchen, as soon as I turn my back, there they are licking something in that dishwasher. Sometime I think there was gold in there or a bone!!!!!!!

Look Bailey is so happy see is laughing at JEFF because she knows how he would love to have two gals wash him! She knows how much time is wasted going to the vet. Thanks to Corky & Fritz the beagle's are happy, clean and ready to roll in something DEAD!

All kidding aside, I am soo glad that I didn't have get on my bad leg and give these two dogs a bath.

Facebook, What do your kids do to get your attention?

Well we had a little problem with a rats that came from the old neighbor's. They were renters in the house behind us. They didn't believe in putting their trash out for the garbage man, so they just put it in the side yard. Well that's a RAT magnet. That was three years ago and we have been frighting those little buggers all that time in my out buildings. I think they have met their match. Lucy the rat beagle!

This is what I was blessed with tonight while I was on Facebook, a big, very dead rat and to think I bought those sticky traps! Who needs them now!
