50th Wedding Anniversary!

We just came back from Spokane. We celebrated Wes & Bev's 50th wedding anniversary. The party was great! Doug, Dawnie, Cody, Tiffy and Brian did a great job with the celebration. We had super weather and food.
We set up camp Moen in Doug and Dawns backyard!

Here is the cake table for the party!

SONIC BOOOM WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

As a kid I used to be a outside kid and I can remember hearing Sonic Booms often. Living not far from an Air Force base we used to hear this quite often. Today we were treated to a big boom as F15 fighters jets scrambled from their base in Portland Oregon to the Seattle area. You see a small plane forgot the the president was in town and the air space was restricted, WHOOPS! Thanks for bringing back the Boom, Monte!

Racing For Jesus BBQ and Racing!

Well we started the day out with a raffle and BBQ. It was a great time and I got to meet my cousins wife's and kids. We also had tons of food and drink. The raffle went well, the weather was HOT and after the dinner most of the Patches Pals jumped into the pool.
I hope that they didn't pee in there!
Abby was a real hot dog, really with the heat she was spread out and camped out in the shade.
Then the Patches Pals were off to the track to watch Kirk and Chad race. We all had the red and blue shirts to support their team. Did I tell you that it was HOT!
Chad took his heat race and the main event. Thanks to Kenny for the loan of his race car for the weekend.

We did have the chance to see the main event and go into the pits after the race. I really wish that we could have been there to give them some support, maybe next time.

Nascar, Mariners Baseball and Hidroplane Racing!

Here is Dad, Bailey and Lucy taking a nap between heats. I think they are all worn out from all the sports that we watched throughout the day. We watched the Nascar racing, Mariners baseball and Seattle Seafair racing on lake Washington. We installed a second TV so we could keep up on everything.

The top TV is from the motor home.

J.P Patches!

I just got a call from Rick and Nancy. J.P. Patches was the guest speaker a her class reunion tonight. If that isn't the coolest person to have a your reunion. If you grew up in the Puget Sound area, you enjoyed the clown that was mayor of the city dump. He was the person that sent us to school with a positive start to our day, man could kids today use that kind of start to their day. "Your the man, Clown, J.P."

What a great find a Goodwill!

Jackie found their youth choir record in a Goodwill store in mint condition. She was soo proud and had to show all the Goodwill workers and anyone that would take a look. I think I'm going to make a CD of this so we can listen to it. If there is anyone out there that wants one leave me a message or email me @ iwlbfree@gmail.com God works in mysterious ways, even though the Goodwill, LOL!

Here are some photo's of the camp area at the track, Food, Food And more Food!
Below the gang took the carts and bike over to the small track to take in some quarter midget racing!

Mrs Bebee and Mrs Benjamen, looking chipper. What will they look like after the party that night? Hangover or sunshine?

Brownfield Memorial race weekend.

We have not missed one of these races and I thinks that this was the best action filled Brownfield race to date.
This is Dad kicking back before the races in camp PATCHES!
We had Greg Biffle in the owners both right behind us. He bought one third of the Gray's Harbor Speedway and has brought a new series to the track, it's a new breed of modifies.
Greg saying HI!
The Biff sighing a autograph for some of us!
We had some great modified action and the Biff had four of his own cars driven by his nephews.
We took a ride over to watch the quarter midgets run on the small track, this was cool!
Lucy taking in some quarter midget action!
Here is the gang watching some action on the small track!
We had several bad flips and even had a hour pause in the action to wait for the EMS to come back to the track after taking the three drivers to the hospital. All in all the racing was fast and close. The new track surface was super to race on. The best part was having family and friends to tailgate with.

We are home!

We started out at the Zion National park. We spent the first afternoon trying to cool off, it was around 106 deg. The beagles had their tungs on the ground it was sooo hot!
Then off to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, it was breath taking to see this peaceful place.
Then it was off to Bryce Canyon another place that took your breathe away!
Then from there to Denver to see family and spend the July 4th. It rained 2" in 20 minutes that night along with thunder storms, gods light show! From there it was off to Montana. Just a few weeks ago they had a golf ball size hail storm that messed up the truck and 5th wheel. I took photo's of the truck but not the trailer. Below is the damage done to the Winnebago after going over the Columbia river at Vantage in a high wind storm. The cost of this is going to be over $8,000.00. Just this Monday Doug & Dawn in the same spot, received wind damage to their 5th wheel coming over the Columbia River bridge. Mother nature has not been kind to our family's and RVs.

I guess if we still have each other and no one was injured, that's all the counts, YOU Think!

Flash Back Friday!

Here is some photo's of my late Casey. She was super smart and loved to play with the tennis ball. She was adopted from the shelter and was great dog. We miss you Casey Dog!
